Studying pharmacy technology and earning your diploma will provide a solid foundation for a career as a pharmacy technician. This program typically covers topics such as pharmacology, medication dispensing and patient communication, preparing graduates for entry-level positions in retail or hospital pharmacy settings.

Forsyth Tech Pharmacy Technology Program is accredited by the American Society of Health System Pharmacists (ASHP), 7272 Wisconsin Avenue Bethesda MD 20814 or www.ashp.org.
The mission of the Pharmacy Technology Program is to prepare graduates to competently function as Pharmacy Technicians in various pharmacy settings.
This program offers a variety of educational experiences in classroom, laboratory, and clinical settings. The coursework will train students in the application of assisting the pharmacist in dispensing prescription medications. The Pharmacy Technology Program is accredited by the American Society of Health-System Pharmacists (ASHP).
Graduates may be eligible to sit for the Pharmacy Technician Certification Exam given by the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB).
The completion rate average from 2021-2023 is 77%. The average PTCB Pass Rate from 2020-2023 is 61%.
Since 2021, 100% of our students have been employed upon graduation.
- Currently 20 new students are accepted to start each Summer.
- Students who meet the minimum English, Math, and Biology requirements are eligible to apply.
