The Systems Security certificate gives students the skills they need to understand the fundamentals of cyber crime and security concepts. Students will also receive an introduction to networks and security and Linux/UNIX single user. The program will incorporate the competencies of industry-recognized certification exams.
IT – Systems Security Cyber Defense

Schedule:
Day, evening and online classes
Similar to the Systems Security Certificate, but a little more involved, the Systems Security Cyber Defense Certificate provides an overview of networks and security concepts, then covers secure communications and security administration, technology crimes and law, and network vulnerabilities.
Forsyth Technical Community College is a DHS/NSA recognized Center of Academic Excellence in Cyber Defense Education.
The Committee on National Security Systems in conjunction with the National Security Agency (NSA) and the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) jointly announced Forsyth Technical Community College the designation as a Center of Academic Excellence in Cyber Defense. Students can choose several options to obtain this recognition as well as receive your degree credential.
