What You’ll Learn
Studying carpentry at Forsyth Tech prepares students for a career in the building industry by teaching them how to construct residential structures and perform detailed and complex tasks using hand and power tools. Students develop skills through hands-on participation and coursework covers topics such as framing, trim cabinetry, blueprint reading, and estimating. With a shortage of qualified carpenters, graduates can expect to find employment with home construction, renovation, and maintenance companies or become self-employed after completing on-the-job training.
