Registered Behavior Technician
Course description
The Registered Behavior Technician (RBT®) is a nationally recognized paraprofessional certification in behavior analysis. RBTs assist in delivering direct behavior-analytic services, implementing behavior plans developed by a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst, and collecting data. The benefits of taking the RBT course include options to work with and support children and adults with autism, intellectual, developmental and behavioral disabilities and disorders.
Completing this course is only one component required in order to apply for certification. Please see the Behavior Analysis Certification Board website for more information on the application process and certification.
The course includes 40 hours of instruction and a practicum component of 31.5 hours, which will be completed at an autism specialty school.
Upon satisfactory completion of the course, the student will receive a certificate of completion, which should enhance employment opportunities in the field of autism treatment and education.

18 years or older
High School Diploma/GED/or High School Equivalency
OR
College Diploma/College Transcript
