Defensive Driving
Course Description
Forsyth Tech offers three different defensive driving courses. Our defensive driving courses may be used to minimize legal penalties from traffic violations.
Course Details
Please look below to determine which course best fits your needs:
- Alive At 25: This course is for those who are under the age of 25 and have received a traffic citation. This is a 4 hour in person course.
- Defensive Driving 4 hours: This course is for those who have received a traffic citation and are of the age of 25 and above. It may also be taken by individuals under 25 years of age and have already taken Alive At 25. May only be taken once in a 3-year period. This course is 4 hours and in person.
- Defensive Driving 8 Hours: This course is for those who have received traffic citations and have already completed the Defensive Driving 4 hour course. May only be taken once in a 3-year period. The course is 8 hours and in person.
To receive credit for the course, students must attend the entire class. In addition to attendance, for the Defensive Driving 8 hour course there is an exam of material covered in the class.
