Automotive Refresher
Course Description
We currently are offering two Automotive Refresher Courses geared toward professionals working in the Automotive Industry that would like to deepen their expertise in engine performance. These courses are held at our Transportation building and include class lectures and hands on practice. Both courses focus on the practical applications and troubleshooting.
Each course is offered in English and Spanish sections, please note the language that is offered in the registration link.
Course Details
Automotive Engine Performance 1 covers the following topics with the objective that students:
- Ignition systems
- Fuel Systems
- Control Devices
At the end of this course students will gain the skills necessary to optimize engine performance and address common issues effectively.
Automotive Engine Performance 2 builds on the introductory course. This course covers the following topics:
- OBDII diagnostics
- Emission systems
- Valve timing
- Turbocharges
- Comprehensive engine diagnosis
At the end of this course students will be equipped to handle complex engine performance issues and enhance their diagnostic skills.
There are no prerequisites, but a strong mechanical ability is very important.
Should have the ability to work in a team environment, be organized, detail-oriented, and strong in problem-solving.
