Academic Advising

Academic advising at Forsyth Tech is a collaborative partnership between students and advisors to clarify their educational and career goals, guide them through their chosen program of study, monitor their academic progress, and provide support throughout their academic journey.

Advising is an opportunity for you and your advisor to develop an academic plans that will enable you to reach your academic and career goals. Advisors empower and guide students to explore, develop and implement educational plans aligned with individual values, goals, and career interests.

Specifically, your Advisor can help you with:

• Academic planning

• Understanding program requirements

• Addressing academic and personal challenges

• Connecting with campus success resources

• Selective program admissions requirements

• Transfer planning

Advising Services are available to you from your assigned advisor. There are 3 options for students to connect and meet with your advisor.

• For general questions and assistance scheduling an appointment, please email your advisor.  Your advisor will promptly respond within 2 business days.

Appointments

• Appointments are needed for advising services.

• Schedule an appointment with your assigned Advisor through Navigate.

Advisor Office Hours

• Weekly Office Hours: Advisors are available for quick questions and brief discussions.

• • Availability: Advisors will inform you of their specific office hours and how to schedule appointments.
